“There is a rise in the number of people claiming they are fashion stylists. They know their labels, fashion designers and even trends… But once you ask them to do styling work for a client/model who are not within the ideal ‘fashion model’ proportions, they fold.”

“Every time I meet someone who labels him/herself a fashion blogger, I first look at his/her blog for a possible style substance or aesthetic consistency. Also, I check for a sponsored “Crocs” blogpost. Then, I decide whether they are true fashion bloggers or not.”

UNTITLED for TEARS BY ROY BACK

Here is an untitled artwork by Enzo Mondejar from the recently concluded Manila-run of Tears by Roy Back and my work explains:

"It depicts the sadness of oneself from everything around him, to the point that he accepts to cover his eyes, but instead, made it more painful since what covers his vision is the one thing that  hurts him the most. Which is himself.”

The work is commissioned to go along with Roy Back's new collection which interprets Rorschach images in different emotional state: Deceit, Truth, Faith and Love.

FASHION PHOTOGRAPHY at SoFA DESIGN INSTITUTE | Creative Lighting Activity and STUDENT FEATURE

Hello Everyone. 

Here are some photos from our in-class photo shoot activity shot completely in campus using creative lighting techniques.

Here are some samples I took using a single flash/speedlight mounted on a bracket with a 60" wide Octobox light modifier.

Here's with the same single light source but angled in a different manner, and with a different subject/model.

Here's a speedlight mounted on a bracket without any light modifier bounced off the corner of the wall,  overexposed.

While this is a speedlight mounted on a bracket without any light modifier tilted closer to the subject.

Of course, this activity is not about me, but actually about how my students took the learning and applied it into their own photos. For those that are diligent in submitting their activities on time, here's a feature exclusive for their works:
